Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Radiology Technologist for St. Rita's Medical Center to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision. The role emphasizes patient safety, radiation protection, and precise imaging.

ARRT certification in diagnostic radiology is required or preferred per state rules; BLS may be required for hires depending on location. On-site hospital setting with team-based care. The candidate should have an ARRT credential, an associates degree from an ARRT-accredited program, and

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required/preferred as noted).

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab work; ensure documentation for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the area of interest, respecting comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Operates imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography; uses aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Prepares and administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
