Job summary

Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, IA is seeking a Midlevel Provider (ARNP or PA) to deliver high-quality patient care in the outpatient clinic and Emergency Department. The role offers collaborative practice with physicians and a patient-focused approach.

The position is 0.9 FTE with a Tue–Fri schedule from 8am to 5pm, providing the flexibility and experience needed to support a growing community clinic and its PHO partners.

Qualifications

• ARNP: graduate of a Masters of Nursing program and Iowa license; PA: CAHEA-approved program and certification; current Iowa license.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in outpatient clinic and Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and supervising physicians.
• Work 0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period, with Tue–Fri, 8am–5pm schedule.

MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. About The Job

A Midlevel Provider is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or a Physician Assistant (PA) in the Mitchell County Regional Health Center Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) who provides quality patient care in the outpatient clinic setting, Emergency Department, and outlying communities. The ARNP works collaboratively with primary care physicians, and the PA works under the supervision of approved physicians. The duties of the Midlevel Provider cannot be rigidly defined, but the following description characterizes common expectations of the position. The primary responsibilities may not be interpreted to prohibit functions not specifically identified.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
  • Graduate of a Masters of Nursing program
  • Successful completion of certification.
  • Current license in the state of Iowa as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• Physician Assistant
  • Graduate of a CAHEA approved Physician Assistant training program is required.
  • Successful completion of certification.
  • Current licensure in the state of Iowa as a Physician Assistant.

• Experience:
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
    • Demonstrated competency as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner through previous experience is preferred.
  • Physician Assistants
    • Demonstrated competency as a Physician Assistant through previous experience is preferred.

• Special Skills, Competencies & Aptitudes:
  • Board eligible or certified Mitchell County Regional Health Center privileges including ACLS & ATLS when working in the Emergency Room. BLS only required if provider does not have an active ACLS when working in the an ambulatory clinic setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are required, including ability to work with a team.
