Job summary

Akima at Joint Base Lewis-McChord seeks a Supply Technician to manage daily receipt, inspection, and accountability of Army equipment turned in by units on-site. You will ensure compliance with Army regulations, maintain accurate records in logistics systems, and support property accountability through documentation and audits.

The role includes performing armorer duties, operating MHE, and coordinating with Army personnel to enable timely processing and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading and writing).
• Knowledge of Army logistical functions.
• 2–4 years logistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations strongly desired.
• Army regulations and systems (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
• Experience with Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA and DD forms).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to operate MHE safely and maintain proper storage practices.

Responsibilities

• Turn-in and receiving operations in accordance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1.
• Verify turn-in documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct visual inspections and assign correct condition codes.
• Identify and tag unserviceable, reparable, or excess items.
