Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited US medical school.
• Current US medical license (US, DC or PR).
• ECFMG certificate for foreign graduates.
• Board certification or eligibility required.
• At least one year of GME internship completed.
• Completed training program in general surgery.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty.
• Permanent US residency for Army Reserve.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe treatments for Soldiers, retirees and their families.
• Perform surgeries and participate in a wide range of procedures.
• Engage in continued education, trainings, seminars and conferences to advance medical practice.

Education

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree

ECFMG certificate (Foreign graduates)

US medical license (US, DC or PR)

Board certification/eligibility

GME internship (1 year)

General surgery training program completed

US citizenship for Active Duty

Permanent US residency for Army Reserve
