Job summary

U.S. Army 1st Medical Recruiting Battalion is seeking General Surgeons to join a world-class military health care team.

You will examine, diagnose, consult, prescribe treatments, and perform a wide range of general surgeries for Soldiers, retirees, and their families, while advancing surgical innovations. As a General Surgeon in the Army, you will engage in ongoing education, trainings, humanitarian missions, and leadership development, with opportunities for residency support and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school.
• Must hold or be eligible for a U.S. medical license (US, DC or PR).
• Must have completed at least one year of an approved GME internship.
• Must have completed a general surgery training program.
• U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, consult, and prescribe treatments; perform general surgery procedures.
• Lead and participate in surgical care for Soldiers, retirees, and families.
• Engage in ongoing education, trainings, seminars, and conferences to learn and grow.
• Contribute to humanitarian missions and military medical leadership.
