Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol in Birmingham, AL. You will provide customer service to passengers and staff, conduct armed patrols at transit facilities, and respond to incidents with calm, professional action.

A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and at least one year of security experience are required. Position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to advance through our Shift-claim platform, along with comprehensive training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with transit personnel and the public.
