Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Birmingham, AL. This role offers fixed shifts with the Earn More program, providing flexible hours and a path to a 40-hour schedule.

Pay is $20.00 per hour and supports earning more through additional shifts across sites. Responsibilities include customer service, access control, incident response, armed patrols, and documenting observations.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: valid driver’s license in the job location.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen as required.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and emergency response.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and utility infrastructure to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions involving gates, fencing, lighting, vehicles, equipment, and restricted areas.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and public service agencies.
