Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Supervisor Security Officer to oversee armed security operations at critical infrastructure sites in Brandon, FL. The role leads a team, manages patrols, and ensures rapid, compliant responses to incidents.

The position requires a Class G license, 5 years of armed security or related experience, and 2 years in supervision. Shift includes nights, weekends, and holidays, with extensive patrol duties and reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Required: 5 years of armed security, law enforcement or military experience.
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: 2 years in supervisory or lead role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and evaluate a team of armed security guards at fixed posts and roving patrols.
• Develop and manage patrol schedules for continuous coverage of critical areas.
• Conduct briefings/debriefings and document patrol activities.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; coordinate with local authorities.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and support investigations.
