Tampa Electric Company in Brandon, FL, is seeking a Supervisor Security Officer to lead armed security operations at critical energy sites. You will supervise guards, plan patrols, inspect facilities, and coordinate with law enforcement to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in armed security or related fields and 2+ years in a supervisory role, with a Florida Class G license. This on-site role requires 12-hour shifts and readiness for all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Required: 5 years of armed security, law enforcement or military experience.
• Required: 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Florida Class "G" license.
• Preferred: CPR/First Aid; FEMA IC S/NIMS training.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and evaluate a team of armed security guards assigned to fixed posts and roving patrols.
• Develop and manage patrol schedules to ensure continuous coverage of critical areas.
• Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with security team.
• Monitor guard performance and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Serve as liaison between security team members and management.
• Conduct roving patrols across critical infrastructure sites and inspect perimeters and surveillance systems.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare incident reports and submit them to management and regulatory bodies.
