Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed) in Miami, FL to screen visitors, verify access, and maintain a welcoming, secure environment at a government location. You will provide customer service while enforcing site policies and procedures.

Role requires armed security experience, a college degree, and the ability to work a Fri and Sun shift schedule. A guard license and background check are standard prerequisites where applicable.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience preferred.
• College degree required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 21+ for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Screen visitors, employees, deliveries, and property according to access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry and direct to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry points and screening equipment to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations per site procedures.
