Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Credential Inspection in Miami, FL for a part-time position. You will serve at a government location, screening individuals and belongings, and providing professional customer service.

As part of the role you will verify IDs, manage entry points, log incidents, and respond to alarms in a calm, regulated manner while following site policies and laws. Training and licensing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate Degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals, visitors, personal belongings, packages, and other permitted items using screening equipment and established access-control procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and direct visitors to appropriate check-in points or designated areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain accurate screening logs and incident documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of site procedures.
