Qualifications

• 3+ years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, or a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as per applicable laws.
• Driver license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and security-related policies at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited or unauthorized items and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate areas, and maintain orderly entry points in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating observations promptly.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
