Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Weekday Days in Las Vegas, NV to protect government locations and deter incidents. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to emergencies with professional communication and customer service skills.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $20.96 per hour, with benefits including healthcare and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining professional interactions with visitors and staff.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities.
