Job summary

Allied Universal in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol to protect government facilities and other client sites. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, and respond with professionalism while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role offers a daytime and evening shift schedule, competitive pay, and opportunities for training and advancement within a nationally recognized security leader.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen are required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, courtyards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management and access-control procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
