Allied Universal in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Armed Security Officer – Afternoon Patrol to protect government facilities. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain access control, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

The role requires at least 1 year of armed security or law enforcement experience, possession of an armed guard card/license, and a high school diploma. Work hours are daytime to evening shifts with a fixed schedule and competitive pay of $20.96

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while following site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with policies; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Maintain reports and documentation for patrols, incidents, and observations per site procedures.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, courtyard areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable policies and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Maintain required reports and documentation for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
