Job summary

Allied Universal in Windsor, NC is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Vehicle Driver to protect clients and participate in secure patrols. This role requires a valid driver's license and an armed guard card is preferred.

You will conduct routine armed vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access, report incidents, and maintain professional service. The position offers a part-time schedule with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour and opportunities to grow within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Six months armed security-related experience or military experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in line with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and access points to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, and/or daily patrol observations in required reports.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
