Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) in Houston, TX. The role involves safeguarding clients across various retail environments and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The position requires 3+ years of security-related experience or 5+ years armed security, along with a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification and a driver’s license. The schedule is daytime with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas is required.
• Must be 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Participation in security training programs as required by the state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and coordinate with leadership and responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and document incidents and policy violations per site procedures.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle equipment per Allied Universal policies.
