Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Military Police Graduate in Miami, FL. You will provide security services at government facilities, conduct armed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include graduation from a law enforcement or military police program, armed security experience, necessary licenses, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Carry authorized firearms and other assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and interactions in clear, accurate reports.
