Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Patrol) in Miami, FL. You will protect government facilities, perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professional, customer-focused service.

You will help deter security threats, maintain a visible presence, and document activities accurately. A valid armed license, college degree, and background clearance are required; 21+ for armed roles; background screens and drug tests apply.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• A college degree is required.
• DD214 with honorable discharge or equivalent credentials (60 college credits, police or corrections academy) needed.
• State/city license preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Criminal histories may be considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public-sector personnel by following site procedures and access-control requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriately.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, and deliveries per site policy.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate security information to supervisors and site representatives.
