Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• College degree required.
• Corrections officer license or related credential may be considered.
• Age 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Industry-specific security training participation.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/locality.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location following site procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel or agencies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor restricted area access, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain awareness while carrying equipment in line with laws, licensing, post orders, and policy.
