Qualifications

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• DD214 with honorable discharge or related certificate.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law; licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors and the public while following security procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally and follow post orders.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, report unusual activity.
• Prepare incident reports and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and communicate observations and response information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
