Job summary

Allied Universal in Midland, TX is seeking an Elite Security Officer on a part-time evening shift to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other environments. You will deter incidents with a visible presence, respond to alarms, and deliver professional customer service.

The role requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver's license, and being at least 21 years old. You will be part of a proactive team in a dynamic, supportive workplace with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 years armed security experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Participate in security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and policy violations.

This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrols, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
