• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required by law
• Drug test required where permitted by law
• Industry-specific security training required
• Licensing requirements may apply

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at government facilities per site procedures and access-control requirements
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate personnel and emergency services
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry per site policies
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and maintain required documentation

What You\'ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following applicable site policies for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
