Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen as permitted.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

As an Armed Security Officer EPPD Inmate Processing in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, law enforcement personnel, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
