Job summary

OPS Security Group is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer for a 3p-11p, Monday–Friday schedule at the Hope Center in New Castle, DE. The role emphasizes professional conduct, strong communication, and safety in a high-interaction environment.

Requirements include a Delaware Red Card, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of customer service experience. Prior security or law enforcement background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Delaware Red Card required.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, concierge, or service industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor property and report suspicious activity.
• Perform ingress/egress and access control procedures.
• Conduct walking patrols throughout the property.
• Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and alarms.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Assist with resident intake and screening processes.
• Enforce curfew and facility policies.
• De-escalate conflicts and maintain a professional presence.
• Build positive rapport with residents, staff, and visitors.
