Job summary

OPS Security Group is seeking an Enhanced Security Officer for the Hope Center in New Castle, Delaware. This role focuses on professional, customer-service-driven security in a high-interaction setting to maintain safety and security standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, patrolling, reporting incidents, and assisting residents and staff while upholding policies. A high school diploma and relevant experience are preferred, with background checks and OPS training required.

Qualifications

• Valid Delaware Red Card required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, concierge, or service industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (email, reports, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and OPS training requirements.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should meet at least one of the following:

• 4 years of armed security experience
• 3 years of military experience
• State or federally certified law enforcement academy training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to wear a security uniform
• Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT):
  • 100-meter run in 66 seconds or less
  • 30 push-ups
  • 26 sit-ups

Additional Information

• CPR/AED/First Aid/BLS training preferred or ability to obtain
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Candidates cannot have previously worked at the Hope Center
