Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an experienced FAA Level III Armed Security Officer to safeguard FAA employees, facilities, and government property at an FAA facility in San Francisco. You will perform access control, screening, reporting, and incident investigations to maintain security posture. The role requires high vigilance, physical stamina, and proficiency with security equipment.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 21, and able to obtain FAA credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional security training preferred.
• Minimum security experience per FAA standards: 3 years or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous access control and deny entry to unauthorized personnel per post orders.
• Screen visitors, vehicles, mail/parcels and belongings using metal detection and X-ray equipment.
• Enforce Facility Rules and Regulations as described in post orders.
• Issue Visitor Badges and temporary passes as defined in post orders.
• Conduct roving patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, trespassing and suspicious activities.
• Respond to security alarms and emergencies per post orders.
• Monitor video surveillance and analyze activity around the facility.
• Record and report daily activities and incidents with DARs and incident reports.
• Perform miscellaneous duties including escort services and building openings.
