Colonial Group is seeking an FAA Level III Armed Security Officer to safeguard FAA employees, facilities, and government property at a U.S. FAA facility.

The role emphasizes access control, screening, patrols, incident investigations, and emergency response in a dynamic security environment. The successful candidate will enforce post orders, operate CCTV and x-ray equipment, issue badges, and coordinate with the security team to maintain a safe facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum security experience requirements: 3 years security, AA + 1 year, 3 years military, POST, or approved combination.
• Must possess CPR, First Aid, AED certification.
• Must possess Non-Lethal (baton; handcuffs; O.C.) credentials.
• Must possess firearm qualification certification.
• Must pass pre-employment suitability investigation.
• Must obtain FAA PIV badge and pass background check.
• Must hold valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control for facility entry points and deny unauthorized access.
• Screen visitors, vehicles, mail, and items with metal detectors and x-ray equipment.
• Enforce Facility Rules and Regulations per post orders.
• Issue visitor badges and temporary passes.
• Conduct roving patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter.
• Investigate accidents and security incidents and report findings.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies at the facility.
• Monitor video surveillance and analyze activity around the facility.
• Perform building and vehicle inspections and manage traffic and pedestrian flow.
• Open/close gates and buildings as required by post orders.
• Manage keys, access cards, and combinations; maintain accountability.
• Maintain constant communications with security team and managers.
• Document incidents with daily activity and incident reports.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and support the security program.
