Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a FAA Level III Armed Security Officer to join our Federal Physical Security team in Memphis. You will protect FAA employees and assets, manage access, perform screenings, and respond to alarms in a part-time capacity.

The role requires strong physical fitness, U.S. citizenship, and compliance with FAA post orders. Expect to conduct patrols, document incidents, and coordinate with security teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum three years of security experience or equivalent POST certification or military background may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical security for FAA facility and safeguard employees, property, and assets.
• Control access to facility and deny entry to unauthorized persons or vehicles.
• Screen visitors, vehicles, mail, and items using screening equipment or procedures.
• Issue visitor badges and manage temporary access as described in post orders.
• Conduct patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter as defined in post orders.
• Investigate incidents and report them to Site Supervisor and FAA COR as required.
• Respond to security alarms and emergencies per facility post orders.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and document daily activities and incidents.
