The Colonial Group is recruiting for an FAA Level III Armed Security Officer at an FAA facility. You will safeguard employees, assets, and government property, controlling access and screening entries. Expect roving patrols, incident investigations, emergency response, and daily reporting to maintain security posture.

Applicants must meet education requirements and pass suitability checks, with CPR/AED and non-exempt status. This is a full-time position based at FAA facilities in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• U.S. Citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification required.
• Must pass a pre-employment suitability investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide access control and deny entry to unauthorized personnel or vehicles per post orders.
• Screen visitors, vehicles, mail/parcels, and items using screening equipment.
• Enforce facility rules and issue visitor badges and temporary passes.
• Conduct roving patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter.
• Investigate incidents and respond to security or safety events.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies per post orders.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and perform building/vehicle inspections.
• Direct traffic, parking and pedestrian flow as required.
• Manage keys and access cards; maintain proper accountability.
• Maintain communication with security team and site leadership.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity reports.
