Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees at a government location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of interior/exterior areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and promptly.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports.

As a Armed Security Officer - Enhanced Flex in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Fri 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government agency location while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency personnel when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
