Armed Security Officer - Shift Flex in Phoenix, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
