Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Tucson, AZ. This role features fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service, perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures. A high school diploma and background screening are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, and public spaces.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and credential verification.
• Document incidents and patrol activities and communicate with Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard - Surveillance Flex in Tucson, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, credential verification, and adherence to site access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
