Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Glendale, AZ to provide reliable, flexible security services at an assigned site. The position offers fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $26.25 per hour with a schedule that can include up to 40 hours weekly. Ideal candidates have armed-guardian credentials, a valid license, and at least two years of security experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to banking clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking areas, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access-control processes, and report irregularities.
• Carry assigned equipment in accordance with laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site orders.

Job Schedule:

Mon 08:30 AM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to banking clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, offices, parking areas, ATMs, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access‑control processes, and report irregularities or security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience is required.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
