Formación

• 3+ years of combined security, law enforcement, or military experience, or a college degree.
• Armed guard license or permit as applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Job Description

As an Armed Security Officer Educational Facility Access Controlin Cedarhurst, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly educational environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
