The role requires a New York State Security Guard License, armed-guard credentials, and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and authorization as required, and maintain accurate visitor logs and related documentation.
• Monitor entrances, lobby activity, alarms, cameras, and/or communication systems; report unusual conditions and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional front-desk presence and following established access and credential procedures.

Pay Rate: $45.00 / Hour

• Thur: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
