Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Elite Armed Security Officer in Downtown Austin, TX to protect facilities at a technology, media, and telecom location. You will patrol, deter incidents, manage access control, and provide professional customer service.

The role is full-time with a $30.00/hour pay rate. Minimum requirements include 3+ years in military police, corrections, or armed security, plus a Level III Armed Certification in Texas and a minimum 40 WPM typing speed. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed guard, or equivalent.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Must hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, entry points, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and/or alarm systems as assigned, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
