Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Elite Armed Security Officer for a Downtown Austin location. This full-time role involves monitoring and protecting clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors, deterring incidents, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm systems, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
