Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Elite Armed Security Officer Downtownin Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, entry points, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and/or alarm systems as assigned, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate professionally with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, armed guard, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Demonstrate a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
