Job summary

DK Security in Chesterfield, MI, seeks an Armed Security Officer for a military base. You will guard posts, patrol inside and outside, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include being 21+, valid Michigan CPL, armed security or related experience, a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background checks and a drug test, and strong reading/writing in English. Shifts are 2nd and 3rd, part-time, with weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must be a current holder of a valid, unexpired Michigan CPL.
• Experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military roles preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass criminal background check with no disqualifying convictions.
• Able to pass a psychological evaluation and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Guard Posts – Static post at access points, doorways, building lobbies, reception areas, etc.
• Foot Patrols – Walk interior and exterior to ensure doors and entrances are secure.
• Remote Monitor – Monitor surroundings on CCTV and manage access control.
• Vehicle Patrols – Operate a vehicle to patrol site areas as required.
• Reports – Document shift activity, incidents, and patrols.
• Communication – De-escalate situations and enforce site rules.
• Response – Provide first aid or coordinate with responders in emergencies.
