Job summary

DK Security, Inc is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a Military Base in Southeast Michigan. The role is based in Port Huron/Chesterfield area and involves guarding posts, patrols, monitoring with CCTV, and reporting incidents.

You will need a valid Michigan CPL, prior armed experience, and the ability to pass background, psychological, and drug checks. Part-time, 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must hold a valid Michigan CPL.
• Must have prior armed experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and annually.
• Present a professional image per company policy.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English and understand safety documents.
• Intermediate computer skills; comfortable with MS Office, email, and internet.

Responsibilities

• Guard posts (static) at access points and doorways; verify identifications.
• Conduct foot patrols to ensure doors/windows are secure; report issues.
• Monitor site via CCTV and manage access control.
• Drive patrols if required; cover multiple site sections.
• Prepare shift activity and incident reports (digital or paper).
• De-escalate situations and communicate rules and policies effectively.
• Respond to emergencies; assist first responders as needed.
