Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the retail location across multiple areas including stockrooms and parking lots.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report observations to Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain reports and support access control and emergency procedures as assigned.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Pre-Employment Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience

Job Schedule:

• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, stockrooms, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, theft‑related concerns, and other security‑related issues, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security‑related activities, and support access control and emergency procedures as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
