Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Armed Security Officer in Houston, TX. You will guard a retail location, perform patrols, monitor access points, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding strict security protocols.

Minimum requirements include 3+ years in security or 5+ years armed experience, Texas Level III Armed Certification, and a valid driver’s license. This is a part-time role with evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Active Armed Guard Card/License.
• Valid Driver's License per AU policy.
• 3+ years law enforcement/corrections/military OR 5+ years armed security experience.
• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by executing security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales and parking areas.
• Monitor access points and report security concerns to leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports; coordinate with leadership and responders.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Minimum Requirements:

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience
• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate professionally with store leadership, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
