You will monitor a busy retail location, perform armed patrols, deter incidents, and deliver professional customer service while following policy and training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military OR 5+ years armed security experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Valid driver’s license per AU policy.
• Level III Armed Certification required in Texas.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Subject to drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, documenting observations and coordinating with store leadership or emergency services.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces, assist with access control and loss prevention reporting.
• Assist with opening/closing, crowd management, and customer assistance during peak periods and deliveries.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Pre-Employment Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with store leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces for security-related concerns, assisting with access control, loss prevention support, and incident reporting.
• Support closing and opening activities, crowd management, and customer assistance during peak business periods, special events, and/or deliveries while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
