Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Cardholder in Ashburn, VA for a part-time role with flexible shifts. Pay rate is $26.62 per hour, with evening daytime schedules.

You will patrol, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors at educational facilities. Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and local procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and maintain clear, timely incident documentation.
• Collaborate with school administrators, staff, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership to support a professional and welcoming learning environment.
