Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, unarmed) in Ashburn, VA, delivering customer service while patrolling and monitoring campus facilities at a government education location. The role pays $18.87 per hour with a consistent 7:30 AM–3:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, and requires background screening and drug testing per policy.

Ideal candidates have CPR and guard card/license preferred, plus a HS diploma and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
CPR certification preferred.
Guard card/license preferred.
Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; assist with access-control procedures and direct visitors to appropriate locations.
Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
