Job summary

Hana Industries, Inc. is hiring an Armed Protective Security Officer for the Social Security Administration Headquarters in Baltimore, MD. The PSO protects employees and facilities through access control, screening, patrols, and emergency response while adhering to SSA procedures and post orders.

The role requires armed security experience, valid Maryland credentials, and the ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends. Candidates must pass medical/drug exams and SSA suitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of armed security experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience in full-duty status with a full-service police department within the US.
• Minimum of 2 years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Post Orders, SSA security procedures, and contract requirements.
• Perform access control, visitor processing, screening, and patrol functions.
• Operate security equipment and systems (x-ray, metal detectors, surveillance, access controls, alarms).
• Monitor facilities and respond to alarms, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols and inspect security safeguards.
• Respond to emergencies, assist people, coordinate with first responders, and perform CPR/AED/First Aid as trained.
• Perform Security Control Center duties, including monitoring alarms and dispatching officers.
• Credentialing and visitor management using SSA-designated systems.
• Operate SSA security and access-control systems (PAM, PSIM, LENEL, etc.).
• Safeguard keys, credentials, and sensitive assets; maintain documentation.
