Job summary

USP Security is hiring a Security Officer in Baltimore, MD for a full-time, hourly position. You will safeguard people and property across client sites, operate screening equipment, and coordinate with local law enforcement.

Candidates must hold a Maryland Security License, pass background, drug, and medical screenings, be able to work up to 12-hour shifts, and maintain a professional appearance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid / current Maryland State Police Department-issued license to work as a Security Officer.
• Ability to pass an enhanced criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to pass a medical screening / physical.
• Ability to work, stand and walk extended hours (up to 12 hours at a time).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard people and client property across sites using trained personnel and technology.
• Maintain professional conduct on-duty and when representing USP Security.
• Wear and maintain the required uniform and equipment in a clean, presentable condition.
• Operate security screening equipment and document activities.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement to enforce law and order.
