Job summary

BTI Security is seeking a vigilant security professional to join our Bethesda-based team. The role emphasizes exterior and interior patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, and timely reporting of incidents to management.

Candidates should have at least two years of security experience, a valid Security Guard Card, and strong written and verbal communication skills. CPR/First Aid certification is required, with additional state certifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling exterior and interior areas on premises.
• Control access for entrances/exits and monitor departures.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or incidents.
• Provide detailed daily activity/incidence reports.
• Operate magnetometer and X-ray equipment as required.
• Use provided radios for clear, concise communications.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements.
• fulfill other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Project Manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience security experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
