Job summary

First Coast Security Solutions is hiring for Full-time Armed Protective Security Officers (PSOs) to support federal facilities in the Rockville, MD area. PSOs must be willing to work weekends and holidays and will respond to incidents to ensure safety for personnel and property.

Required FPS credentials include 40/64/72-hour trainings, gun permit and First Aid/CPR, among others, with Maryland state licensing prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Citizen or lawful permanent resident with honorable discharge from U.S. Armed Forces.
• Must have a valid Social Security Number and reliable transportation.
• Must fluently speak, read, write English and compose reports.
• Must obtain and maintain DHS/FPS suitability and licenses.
• State licensing: Maryland Security Guard Certification; Maryland Wear and Carry Permit.

Responsibilities

• Control access by verifying admittance and screening visitors.
• Monitor entrances, vehicle inspections, CCTV and remote access systems.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle and identify hazards or violations.
• Respond to incidents including medical emergencies or hazardous materials.
• Protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required.
• Complete logs, reports, and documentation.
• Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, or incidents.
• Follow safety rules, company policies and site procedures.
